While waiting for an S-Bahn train, I noticed this fellow trying to get some information from one of the uniformed guards at the station, who understood and spoke very little English. Stepping in as interpreter, I was able to get the man the information he needed, all the while with my focus on his forehead! In return he let me take his photo. (Actually, several of them, and this one was the best.). He told me that he was a retired attorney from Sri Lanka and was in Berlin visiting his nephew who lives here.
When his train arrived (headed in the opposite direction) we parted company, after a very pleasant encounter with a real gentleman.
