Calvin (Cal) Osterman went to optometry school with my brother, Robert, and they remained good friends until Rob passed away two years ago. Through my brother and with the help of the internet, Cal and I have also become good friends. He is retired now and lives in a wonderful house on the coast of the Chesapeake Bay on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Cal is an excellent photographer, volunteers at a seaman's museum, was formerly an avid diver in places all over the world, and has a large, interesting  family. Together we enjoy exchanging political articles and good jokes.
