Oskar

Aside from my friend, Martin, Oskar Hecker was the first member I got to know at the sailing club I had joined at the Wannsee lake, six years ago. Without knowing that he had been a sailing instructor, I was instantly impressed by his knowledge and willingness to answer so many of my naïve questions. But Oskar not only answered questions, he was always ready and able  to fix my problems. We very quickly became good friends and, with Oskar at my side, I have learned so much over the years about the art of sailing. His sharp style of humor seems to match my own and we have shared countless hours of laughter together. At my age, I can honestly say that were it not for Martin and Oskar my sailing days would have ended long ago. With a bit of luck, they will keep me on the water for a few more seasons.
