I met this gentleman at Nuri's Petit Cafe France. (You can check out Nuri's portrait for a description of what his place is all about.)  After taking his photo, he told me that he name was Ali-Ahkbar and he lives about an hour outside of Berlin on a farm where he makes jewelry. He certainly doesn't fit my image of a jeweler but Nuri confirmed that he was, indeed, and that he made beautiful things. Maybe someday we'll visit him and find out for ourselves.
