Nuri

Nuri is the owner of La Petite France, a tiny French bistro near our apartment. The three tables with benches are constantly filled, mainly with people who Nuri knows. He serves up coffee, sandwiches, and quiches but that is merely a sideline to what really takes place there. Nuri holds court every day, telling stories and jokes and engaging his audience in philosophical discussions. Since most of his guests know one another, the conversations can become quite animated. Gila and I have become 'regulars' and are always greeted by the star of the show with warm hugs. Should there be no seating available, we've even seen him tell customers to drink up and move on! A very bright and very interesting man and we're happy to have discovered him around the corner.
